At The Warehouse Newtownards our goal is to give back to the local community in any way we can. We run a range of community events and projects throughout Ards and North Down. We create oppourtunities where people who are experiecing crisis can get help and also places where people can get involved and join in to do something amazing in their local community for others. Sound good?
At The Warehouse Newtownards, we run a toddlers group, an over 50s' group, a community garden, youth work and counselling. We also have a theatre company and we provide a free weekly community dinner on a Tuesday evening. Have you heard about Wear 'N Share, Silver Santa or our Crisis Kitchen? We have so much happening! Contact us for more info!
During Covid-19, some of our events and projects are unable to take place at The Warehouse Newtownards. But we have not closed our doors! We moved what we could online, we have an army of amazing volunteers phoning people, picking up prescriptions, packing and delivering food hampers and trying to reach out to those who are most isolated locally.
Are you interested in giving back to your local community? We need your help at The Warehouse Newtownards! We have a range of short and long term volunteering opportunities ranging from hamper delivery drivers, cooks or chefs, telephone support, food restocking team members, fashion & homewear team members and practical support volunteers. Email us today to find out more!
At The Warehouse Newtownards, we really believe that connecting with other people locally is one of the most important things you can do. It takes a villiage to ride the waves that come with life and we hope that through creating space for us all to build relatiomships, get help is we need it and volunteer our time to help others that we can help build that 'village'. Everyone is welcome - no matter who they are.
