We are open for Drop In Tues - 9am - 8pm; Wed- Friday - 9am - 2pm. Call in for coffee, breakfast, lunch and more! It's all free and made by our cook fresh every day! Come along and join in!
Throughout the summer every Friday we have a Family Drop In. We will provide free fun activities for children to do with their parents and a big slap up lunch as well, 10am every Friday in July & August.
We have a community garden space where you can grow your own fruit, veg and plants in our raised beds. All we ask is that you contribute some of what you grow to our community fridge.
Our cook provides cooking courses for people who want to learn a few extra skills, or learn how to cook on a budget. Contact us for more info on when our next course is running.
We have a massive library of books which you can drop in and swap, borrow or take from. Or if you'd prefer just call in, pick up a book and grab a coffee and relax!
We have a Friday Club for men which meets outside of the building. They go for coffee each week and have great craic! If you are interested ask Tracy for more info.
Silver Santa was created by one of our volunteers in response to the loss of her mum.
This is Heather's story: "I lost my 92yr old mum to COVID in June 2020 and still miss buying & wrapping up all her Christmas goodies. Once again this year, many of our elderly will be alone in our communities."
We work together to ensure 1000+ elderly people who may not receive a gift from anyone this Christmas receive one, and know that they are not forgotten.
A Special Gift
We try and personalise our gifts by finding out the recipients favourite things. In the past these have included football, nail polish, motorbikes, music, Guinness, perfume, pj’s, knitting, cuddly toys and of course chocolate & more chocolate!
Getting To Those In Need
We work with Care Homes, Social Workers, Community Groups, GPs, Elderly Care Teams and individuals to ensure that someone who might be on their own in Ards & North Down receives a special gift.
Christmas Elves
A volunteer team prepare the gifts, sort them for transport and then deliver them throughout Ards & North Down to ensure they are delivered in time for Christmas.
Get Involved
Preparations begin early in the year and we need volunteers willing to do a range of things from packing, to Christmas card and label making, to delivery drivers, and much more! If you could help get in contact via our contact us page!
We believe no one should be without food whatever their age or the time of year. So we work tirelessly to ensure everyone has enough food. We recognise that at Christmas it can be extremely hard for individuals and families so we provide a range of help at Christmas for those living in Ards & North Down.
Christmas Food Hampers
Do you or someone you know need some extra help with food over the Christmas period? We can provide individuals and families with some additional food for the Christmas period. If you know someone or you need help yourself use the link below.
Christmas Dinners
We provide those in crisis or those who will be alone and struggling on Christmas Day with a dinner. This dinner is delivered the day before Christmas Eve by a volunteer along with a few other goodies to enjoy on Christmas Day. If you or someone you know needs this use the link below.
We need volunteers this Christmas! Can you help?
